Just days after Thirdy Ravena was officially introduced as San-En NeoPhoenix’s Asian import in Japan’s B.League, Calvin Abueva revealed on his Instagram account that there is currently an offer for him to play in the same league.
The 32-year old Abueva, who is still serving an indefinite suspension slapped by the PBA more than a year ago for clotheslining TNT import Terrence Jones and engaging in a verbal altercation with a fan, posted an IG story of somebody informing him of the said offer.
“Good am Calvin please call me ** details erased **. May offer sa Japan B League.”
Abueva recently disclosed during an online interview that he still has to undergo four more psychological sessions before the league can proceed with his reinstatement.
He added that he has been putting in extra effort on his fledging food business since his contract with the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters is due to expire this year.
“Pinu-push ko kasi yung business ko ngayon. Expiring kasi ako ngayong year na ‘to kaya kailangan kong kumita dito sa business ko kahit na mahirap,” said the 2013 PBA Rookie of the Year.
