New San Miguel import Chris McCullough revealed on this Twitter account that NLEX head coach Yeng Guiao called him “bitch” during the Beermen’s game against the Road Warriors, Friday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The 6-foot-9 former NBA player posted the tweet, which was a reply to news link posted by Tiebreaker Times entitled “Chris McCullough leaves trail of impressed heads — including Yeng Guiao”, hours after San Miguel won over NLEX in the elimination round of the the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
“Coach called me a B***h during the game 😂”, wrote McCullough.
McCullough dropped 47 points against Guiao and the Road Warriors in a display of athleticism and good shooting range which apparently energized the Beermen and resulted in the much-needed win which snapped the team’s 2-game slide.
“We had a really disastrous third quarter. I think they scored more than 40 plus points and the import scored 23 points – more than what we scored as a team. We got outscored by one person in the third quarter,” said Guiao on McCullough’s exploits.
“San Miguel made a good decision to replace their import with somebody who can space the floor and give June Mar Fajardo some more room to operate,” he added.
McCullough and the rest of the Beermen will be back on the court on Wednesday, July 10 when they take on the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters, 7:00pm at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
