San Miguel reinforcement Chris McCullough is set to play for two-time Korean Basketball League (KBL) champions Anyang KGC after his stint with the Beermen in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The 24-year old McCullough confirmed the development through ESPN5, claiming that he had already signed the contract in July.
“SMB management doesn’t know but it doesn’t have to do anything with this,” said the former Brooklyn Nets forward who is fresh from leading the Beermen to the title of the mid-season conference.
McCullough finished 3rd in the Best Import derby behind eventually winner Terrence Jones and Justin Brownlee with averages of 33.0 points, 13.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.5 steals, and 2.5 blocks through the semifinal round.
He normed 31.5 points, 17.5 boards, 2.2 blocks and 3.8 assists in 6 matches in the Finals and ended up as the Best Player in Games 4 and 5.
His forthcoming stint in the KBL will be his 4th outside of the US after playing in China, Puerto Rico and then here in the Philippines.
