Just days after being dealt by NLEX to NorthPort in a one-on-one swap for big man Mike Miranda, Juami Tiongson was on the move again after the former Ateneo guard was shipped to the Columbian Dyip in exchange for Fil-Am Jerramy King.
The 28-year old King, who has been vocal of his desire to play for Brgy. Ginebra in order to grant the wish of his grandmother, will suit up for his 3rd team in the PBA after Rain or Shine and Columbian. He was drafted 36th overall in the 2015 rookie draft by the Road Warriors.
Columbian will be Tiongson’s 3rd team in the league as well after spending 2 seasons each with Blackwater and NLEX.
In a separate deal, the Batang Pier sent Joseph Gabayni and Lervin Flores to the Dyip for big man Russel Escoto.
The 26-year old Escoto, who was selected by Mahindra in the 2016 Special draft, will move on to his 2nd team in the league.
Gabayni and Flores were originally drafted by the Magnolia Hotshots in the 2017 rookie draft and were dealt, together with Julian Sargent, to NorthPort for 6th overall pick Robbie Herndon plus Andreas Cahilig who now plays for the Dyip.
The league approved both transactions on Friday.
