From ‘Atin To’ to ‘Inyo Na’: NLEX sends draftees Desiderio, Tratter to Blackwater for JP Erram

In a stunning twist of events, the NLEX Road Warriors dealt its 1st round draftees in the recently concluded 2018 PBA Rookie Draft to the Blackwater Elite for vastly improved big man Poy Erram.

The Road Warriors have already submitted the trade papers to the Commissioner’s Office for approval.

The move came as a surprise after NLEX coach Yeng Guiao earlier heaped praises on Paul Desiderio after drafting the former UP Maroon at number 4.

“He is a leader. He is a clutch guy. He is tenacious on offense and defense. He does not shy away from tight situations. He’s been actually my type of a guy,” said the national team mentor.

“You can’t go wrong with him naman. There is a whole community behind him of which I also belong to,” added Guiao who like Desiderio is an alumnus of the State University.

Desiderio was packaged alongside number 7 pick Abu Tratter for Erram who was recently picked as a member of the national team by Guiao himself.

The deal is still undergoing review by the Commissioner’s Office.
