After sister team Meralco locked up Jason Brickman, TNT followed suit by signing Jeremiah Gray to a one-year deal to play for the Tropang Giga in the PBA’s inaugural 3×3 tournament.
Team manager Gabby Cui confirmed the development on Friday, March 19, just days after the two former Alab Pilipinas players were barred from taking part in the Season 46 Draft due to incomplete requirements.
“We would like to welcome Jeremiah to TnT Tropang Giga 3×3. We are excited to have him onboard,” said Cui.
Brickman and Gray were among the seven Fil-foreigners who were deemed ineligible for the rookie draft after they failed to submit a Bureau of Immigration (BI) certification and an affirmation from the Department of Justine (DoJ).
Unlike the regular 5×5 tournament which strictly requires the two above-mentioned documents, only a Philippine passport is required for the 3×3 counterpart.
As per league commissioner Willie Marcial, the 3×3 season is scheduled to run simultaneous with the regular season with the first of two conferences set to tip-off on April 18 at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
