Powerhouse San Miguel had never dropped back-to-back losses in the elimination round of PBA Philippine Cup in the last five years.
Humbled by defeats at the hands of TNT KaTropa and Rain or Shine in their last two outings, the Beermen are disappointed but not disheartened.
They’re convinced there’s still time to regroup and wheel back into the thick of things.
They look to right wrong things and start winning again as they tangle with the Blackwater Elite in their 7 p.m tussle Wednesday at the MOA Arena in Pasay City.
“Hindi pa naman huli ang lahat. Magre-regroup kami kasi hindi maganda yung talo. Depensa daw. Tignan natin kung maaayos natin next game,” said Arwind Santos, aching to make up for his absence in their last game due to food poisoning.
“Kailangan kong bumawi at mag-bounce back,” said June Mar Fajardo.
He felt his game took a plunge and it affected the game of the whole team.
“Struggling ako. Ako yung tinitignan ng mga teammates ko, pero hindi ko sila na i-lift. Pag pangit ang laro ko, malaki ang chance talo kami,” Fajardo noted.
