THIS early Justine Brownlee is already making a strong case as PBA Governors Cup Best Import.

Brownlee erupted for 45 points as he carried Barangay Ginebra past Alaska, 109-101, for its second straight win in three days at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.

The 30-year-old import from Georgia, who hasn’t won the Best Import award of the season-ending meet despite leading the Kings to back-to-back championships, sizzled all-night against the Aces.

He went 3-of-6 from three-point range and scored 17 points in the final quarter.

Brownlee also added 11 rebounds and just fell one assist short of completing a triple double.

The scores:

GINEBRA 109 – Brownlee 45, J. Aguilar 24, Ferrer 11, Slaughter 9, Thompson 8, Chan 5, Caguioa 4, Tenorio 3, Mariano 0.
