Filipino basketball prospect Kai Sotto is apparently not yet done growing as the 17-year old former Ateneo High School star is now an inch taller.
According to an Instagram post by EWP in Atlanta, the sports agency that handles Sotto, the son of former PBA player Ervin Sotto is now officially listed at 7 feet, 2 inches.
“Kai grew an extra inch. P3 keeping tabs,” wrote the agency.
Sotto saw action for the Gilas Pilipinas Youth team in the 2019 FIBA Under-19 World Cup held last June 29 to July 7 in Greece and ended up as the tournament’s top shot-blocker with 3.1 rejections per game. The team finished in 14th place just ahead of Senegal and China.
The UAAP Season 80 Juniors Basketball Finals MVP is currently undergoing intense training in Atlanta, Georgia, USA in preparation for his bid to become the first homegrown Filipino to make it to the NBA.
