A day after selecting rookie hopefuls Aris Dionisio, Yankie Haruna and Alvin Capobres in the 2019 PBA Rookie Draft, the Magnolia Hotshots have added another key figure to their roster.
Fresh from being dethroned as champions in the Governors’ Cup, the 2014 Grand Slam titlists started their retooling by sending stretch four Aldrech Ramos to the Columbian Dyip for banger Jackson Corpuz.
The 29-year old Corpuz, who was undrafted during the 2014 rookie draft, spent the last 2 seasons with the Columbian Autocar franchise and posted averages of 8.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in 22 minutes of action during the season-ending conference of the league’s 44th season.
Ramos, on the other hand, suited up for only 3 games in the same period and averaged 7.7 points and 1.3 boards in 7 minutes of play. The 31-year old product of Far Eastern University will end his 3-year stint with the franchise and return to the team where he played for 1 season before being traded to the Hotshots for Alex Mallari.
UPDATE: Trade approved by the PBA!
