Magnolia set to bring back Romeo Travis for season-ending Governors’ Cup

Defending champion Magnolia is set to bring back Romeo Travis in its quest to retain the Governors’ Cup crown.

The 34-year old close friend of NBA superstar LeBron James posted the latest development on his Instagram account.

“I’m coming back,” wrote the former Alaska reinforcement.

Magnolia team governor Rene Pardo confirmed Travis’ return during an interview with ESPN5.

“Yes, Romeo is set to arrive on August 20 when the team resumes practice,” said the amiable SMC executive.

Travis is coming off a stint with Thai ballclub Mono Vampire in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) wherein he led the team to the semifinal round but lost to eventual tournament champion CLS Knights Indonesia. He posted averages of 15.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.1 blocks in 36.2 minutes.
