Magnolia suspends Jio Jalalon for playing in ‘ligang labas’

Magnolia has suspended guard Jio Jalalon for an undisclosed length of time following reports that the flashy playmaker took part in a ‘ligang labas’ game along with Alaska forward Vic Manuel.

In a video uploaded on Facebook, the two could be seen playing in a game somewhere in Calamba, Laguna without the permission of the league and their respective teams.

As per PBA commissioner Willie Marcial, Jalalon and Manuel were not sanctioned by the league anymore since the Hotshots and the Aces have already resolved the matter internally.

The two erring players appeared before Marcial at the league office Wednesday.

“Talagang bawal ‘yan. ‘Pag charity o eskwelahan nila mapag-uusapan natin yun,” he added.
