The Magnolia Hotshots are set to replace current import John Fields with James Farr, a 6-foot-10 American who went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Rookie Draft.
The former Columbian Dyip import played just one game for the Hotshots and could only produce 12 points and 6 rebounds in 30 minutes of action.
Magnolia coach Chito Victolero later on admitted that Fields suffered an ankle injury two days before their first game of the conference.
“Okay naman kami,” said Victolero on the sudden decision to change imports.
“Umpisa pa lang ng tournament kaya there’s enough time to recover,” he added.
The 26-year old Farr last played for Mitteldeutscher BC in the Basketball Bundesliga, a first tier league in Germany.
He also had stints in France and Hungary where he was part of the championship team.
Farr is set to make his debut for the Hotshots on Wednesday, June 12 against the NorthPort Batang Pier.
