Moala & Terrence: From being traded for each other to playing together at SMB

Eighteen months after being traded for each other, Moala Tuatuaa and Terrence Romeo will now be teammates at San Miguel.

A disgruntled Romeo was dealt by the GlobalPort Batang Pier along with big man Yousef Taha to the TNT KaTropa for Tautuaa and two future draft picks. The trade was official approved by the PBA on April 3, 2018.

After only 8 months with the flagship team on the MVP group, Romeo was on the move again. The 3-time league scoring champion was sent to the Beermen in exchange for David Semerad, Brian Heruela and a 2021 first round pick.

And after the latest round of personnel swap which saw Tautuaa and 2017 top overall pick Christian Standhardinger changing places, Romeo will now team-up with the player he was once traded for.

For his part, the 30-year old Tautuaa admitted that he is similarly looking forward to playing with the flamboyant guard.

“We have our chemistry. We know each other and we kind of have an idea of how each other plays,” said the Fil-Tongan.

“Like him and me, we’re just another piece to a giant picture and we’re just both trying to complete that picture. He’s gonna adapt to me, I’ll adapt to him and that’s how it’s gonna work,” he added.
