The PBA has finally given its stamp of approval on the trade centered on the vastly improved JP Erram of the Blackwater Elite.
The deal between Blackwater and NLEX initially involved only 3 players, Erram and Road Warriors draftees Paul Desiderio and Abu Tratter. The league, however, thumbed down the proposal.
TNT entered the picture as the third team and a revised version was submitted to the PBA office. It took 2 revisions to get the league’s nod.
To kick things off, Blackwater received the rights to TNT’s Philip Paredes. The KaTropa, on the other hand, acquired the Elite’s 2nd round pick in the 2022 rookie draft. The pick was originally from San Miguel as part of the trade featuring Paul Zamar.
Blackwater then sent Paredes and Erram to NLEX for Michael Miranda, Paul Desiderio and Abu Tratter.
In the final round, TNT received Miranda from the Elite in exchange for Alfrancis Tamsi and the team’s 2nd round pick in the 2022 rookie draft.
The three-team trade was approved by the PBA on Friday and was subsequently posted on the league’s website.
Desiderio, picked 4th overall in the 2018 PBA Rookie Draft and Tratter, chosen 7th, earlier signed separate three-year pacts with the Elite.
