PBA slaps P200K fine, 100 hours of community service on Arwind Santos for racist gesture

San Miguel team captain Arwind Santos has been penalized by the PBA with a P200,000 fine plus 100 hours of community service for his monkey gesture directed at TNT import Terrence Jones during Game 5 of the ongoing Finals series between the Beermen and the KaTropa, Wednesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The 38-year old, Angeles City native will also undergo seminar and counseling on equality and racial discrimination.

The amiable executive also took the opportunity to apologize to Jones and to his family for the unfortunate incident.

Santos has since posted an apology video on his Twitter and Instagram accounts for Jones, the fans and all those affected by his ill-advised action.
