SAN Miguel kicks off its PBA Governors Cup campaign without its best player but welcomes the return of a former Best Import Saturday when it tangles with NLEX at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Beermen won’t have four-time MVP June Mar Fajardo in the 6:45 p.m. Petron Saturday special game as he would be out for six to eight weeks due to a shin injury.

But they have in their fold comebacking two-time Best Import AZ Reid, who tries to fill up the huge void left out by the 6-foot-11 Fajardo.

Reid was the same import who steered the franchise to the 2015 edition of this same conference which saw the Beermen swept the Alaska Aces, 4-0.
