Stanley Pringle suspended 1 game, fined P75K for tuneup game scuffle

NorthPort Batang Pier star Stanley Pringle was slapped a P75,000 fine along with a one-game suspension for his physical altercation with Columbian big man Jay-R Reyes during a tune-up game between the two teams last Tuesday, February 19 at the Green Meadows gym.

The two apparently got entangled during a rebound battle and then wrestled on the floor. Pringle reportedly hit Reyes which resulted in a bloodied nose. Dyip officials immediately brought the veteran center to the nearby Cardinal Santos hospital for treatment.

The game was stopped with still seven minutes in the fourth quarter and the Batang Pier on top, 87-64.

The Commissioner’s office summoned the two along with Moala Tautuaa and Reden Celde to give their sides on the incicent.

Pringle will miss NorthPort’s game against the Phoenix Pulse Fuelmasters on Wednesday, February 27, 2019.
