Terrence Jones followed up a 41-point effort with a 43-point game, and TNT KaTropa roared to a second straight win with a 99-85 drubbing of Alaska in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum Saturday.
As in his maiden PBA game, Jones took the showers ahead of the rest, but not after having done a severe damage on the other side in this Petron Blaze Special.
Against the Aces, Jones was tossed out of the game with 2:18 left in the match on a flagrant infraction on Alaska Milk forward Jake Pascual.
But Jones had then gone 15-of-28 from the field and 8-of-11 from the stripe and added 22 boards, and the Texters had settled the outcome of the match when their prized import was vanished out of the game.
The former Houston Rocket starter had piled up 22 points as the KaTropa sat on a 50-48 edge at halftime.
Jones sustained his effort in the third as TNT stretched its lead to 73-63, going into the final 12 minutes of play.
