The much-awaited grudge match featuring Terrence Romeo against his former team Talk N’ Text will have to wait.
San Miguel Beer coach Leo Austria has ruled out the availability of Romeo for Sunday’s game against the KaTropa because the flashy guard is still undergoing therapy on his ankle injury.
“Terrence is not playing on Sunday. His injury has not yet healed fully,” lamented Austria shortly after San Miguel’s 105-93 win over the Meralco in the PBA Philippine Cup on Friday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
Romeo also missed last Sunday’s match against the Ginebra Kings.
Romeo, who was dealt by TNT to San Miguel during the off season for guard Brian Heruela, David Semerad and future draft picks, sustained the injury in the third quarter of San Miguel’s match against Columbian Dyip after stepping on Rashawn McCarthy’s foot.
