Terrence Romeo’s playing status back to being uncertain after dislocating pinky finger

Just 2 games into his return after a 7-game absence due to an inflamed Achilles tendon, Terrence Romeo’s status for San Miguel’s next game is back to being uncertain after dislocating his left pinky finger during their 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup match against the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters, Wednesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Romeo collided with Dave Marcelo during the 1:27 mark of the 3rd quarter and was immediately subbed out moments later.

The 3-time PBA scoring champion did not return to the game but still finished with 13 points on 3 of 4 shooting from 3-point country to go along with 4 assists and 3 boards.

SMB coach Leo Austria said nothing is certain yet with regards to the shooting guards’ latest injury.

“Hindi pa namin alam. Basta na-dislocate lang yung daliri niya,” he said.

The Beermen have won back-to-back after starting the conference with a 2-5 record and will take on the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in Cagayan de Oro on Saturday, July 13 before wrapping up their elimination round sked against the Meralco Bolts on Wednesday, July 17 at the Big Dome.
