Gilas Pilipinas ended its European training camp on a winning note, 125-102, against a Lithuanian team preparing for the 2023 Summer Universiade.

The national team took control of the game in the third quarter when it outscored the host team, 37-10.

Naturalized player Justin Brownlee, big man June Mar Fajardo, and the duo of CJ Perez and Rhenz Abando were responsible for that telling run which enabled Gilas to turn a two-point halftime deficit to a commanding 98-73 lead entering the fourth.

Fajardo played his best game in the team’s six tune up matches by finishing with 28 points including 18 in the opening half, while shooting an efficient 7-of-9 from the floor.

Brownlee added 24 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, while Kiefer Ravena had 14 in the first half and finished with 18.

Perez and Abando were also in double figures with 18 and 14 respectively, for a Gilas side that played minus Scottie Thompson, Dwight Ramos, and AJ Edu.

Amas Berucka had 15 points to lead the Lithuanians, who are seeing action in the Universiade slated in Chengdu, China later this month.
