Calvin Abueva, Phoenix Pulse’s embattled forward, recently took to Instagram stories to send a message to both his haters and supporters.
The 31-year old product of San Sebastian College got embroiled in two controversies in the Fuel Masters’ first two games of the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup. First was a verbal tussle with the girlfriend of Blackwater rookie Ray Parks followed by a clothesline tackle on TNT import Terrence Jones.
Abueva posted a video of himself singing on the photo/video sharing site with an OPM song playing in the background. He ended the video with a short message.
“See you tomorrow sa PBA office mga haters, mamaya na ang husga sa akin ng PBA,” wrote the player more popularly known as “The Beast”.
“May matutuwa, may malulungkot. Respect that pero hindi pa din ako magbabago. Kung ano pagkakakilala nyo sa akin yun pa din ako. Salute sa mga support, best friend, family!” closed Abueva.
The enigmatic forward, along with teammate Jason Perkins, is scheduled for a meeting with Commissioner Willie Marcial, Tuesday afternoon at the league office in Libis, Quezon City.
