WATCH: Arwind Santos posts apology video for ‘monkey gesture’!

San Miguel team captain Arwind Santos was caught on camera doing the monkey gesture directed at Terrence Jones after the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Best Import was called for a loose-ball foul on Christian Standhardinger during the 1:05 mark of the 2nd period of Game 5 of the best-of-seven Finals series, Wednesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The 38-year old Santos later admitted that he was warned directly by league commissioner Willie Marcial as well as the SMB coaching staff for his action but insisted that there was nothing wrong with it since ‘mind games’ are common in the Finals.

On Thursday afternoon, however, Santos posted an apology video on his Twitter and Instagram accounts asking for forgiveness from Jones, the fans, and anybody else affected by his ill-advised action.

“I would like to say sorry to Terrence Jones. I don’t mean anything bad for you. I hope you forgive me,” said Santos.
