Down and out, but it’s still a test of character for Joshua Munzon and the rest of the Gilas Pilipinas crew as they play the last half of their assignments in the FIBA 3×3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Graz, Austria Friday.
Will they just go through the motion, with the flight back home in mind?
Or will they regroup, put up a fight and leave some respectable imprint?
These are questions begging for answers as they take on Dominican Republic and France at the close of Pool C play, with the fight for promotion to knockout stage narrowed down among France, Qatar and Slovenia.
After Day One of action, France and Qatar were both sporting clean 2-0 slates, Slovenia was at 1-1 while the Philippines and Dominican Republic were both at 0-2.
Day Two hostilities in the group begin at 5:50 p.m. with the Nationals and their Dominican Republic counterparts fighting to break into the win-column.
The loser will be in danger of ending up in the bottom of the group.
