Kai Sotto proceeded to take part in team workouts ahead of the 2022 NBA Rookie Draft which is scheduled on Thursday, June 23.
The 20-year old center out of Ateneo de Manila worked out for the Sacramento Kings after an ankle injury sidelined him the past week.
The Kings on Wednesday (Thursday morning in Manila) posted a video on their Youtube channel of Sotto working out along with other prospects.
Former Gilas Pilipinas guard and current Stockton Kings assistant coach Jimmy Alapag posted a photo of himself together with the 7-foot-2 Pinoy prodigy.
“Great to see Kai here in Sacramento! Best of luck on your journey to the NBA!,” wrote Alapag.
“The entire country and I are rooting for you!! Keep working!!,” he added.
Prior to his pre-draft workout with the Kings, Sotto had previously worked out for teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Atlanta Hawks, and the Orlando Magic.
