RR Pogoy and Jason Castro took turns in delivering the goods as TNT KaTropa outlasted Governors Cup champion Magnolia Pambansang Manok, 80-75, in the PBA Philippine Cup at the MOA Arena in Pasay City Sunday.
Pogoy scattered 26 points including five points in the extra period while Castro fired away 24, including 20 in the second half, to power the KaTropa back to a win after dropping their last game against the NLEX Road Warriors.
Troy Rosario also played a key role as the KaTropa beat the Hotshots in their debut in PBA Season 44.
It was a good game where no team led by more than six points.
The Hotshots suffered a big blow when Paul Lee got hurt in the third period and failed to return.
Rob Herndon ably filled in for Lee for a while and top scored for the Hotshots with 16 markers
