San Miguel Beer asserted its mastery over Phoenix and ran away with a convincing 114-91 win in Game 4 of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup semifinals on Tuesday at the Cuneta Astrodome.
The Beermen shifted into high gear in the second period and moved on the cusp of claiming the first finals seat with a commanding 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.
They refused to ease on the gas pedal in the penultimate period, with Terrence Romeo unloading four straight three-pointers inside the final 2:40 of the said quarter to give the team an insurmountable 89-62 lead.
It was all San Miguel from there.
Gunning for a fifth straight Philippine Cup title, the Beermen look to close out the series in Game 5 on Thursday at the same venue.
