Ginebra snatches Kemark Cariño from Terrafirma, sends Ben Adamos to the Dyip

Barangay Ginebra has fortified its frontline by acquiring Kemark Cariño from Terrafirma in exchange for Ben Adamos, with the PBA trade committee approving the transaction on Friday, February 27.

This strategic move enhances the Kings’ roster by adding another formidable big man to complement Japeth Aguilar and the returning Isaac Go in preparation for the upcoming PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup.

Cariño’s arrival comes at a critical juncture, as Ginebra grapples with the challenge of assembling the personnel necessary to contend with the imposing imports that other teams have secured for the mid-season conference.

Standing at 6-foot-8, Cariño is a promising center; however, he will not be available to Ginebra until at least April as he continues his rehabilitation from an ACL injury.

In contrast, Adamos is seizing the opportunity for a fresh start in his PBA career after spending much of his time on the fringes of the Ginebra bench.

The 6-foot-6 big man is poised to provide Terrafirma with an immediate impact in the paint, joining fellow former Kings Aljon Mariano and Maverick Ahanmisi on the Dyip.
