Matt Ganuelas-Rosser turns down two-year offer from Terrafirma, enters free agency

Matt Ganuelas-Rosser has turned down a two-year extension offer from Terrafirma Dyip.

The 31-year old Fil-Am, who was acquired by the John Cardel-mentored squad early last year from San Miguel along with Russel Escoto, Gelo Alolino and two first-round picks for CJ Perez, declined to renew his contract and automatically became an unrestricted free agent.

“Matt declined to accept our two-year offer,” claimed PBA Vice Chairman and Terrafirma Governor Bobby Rosales on Wednesday.

The 5-time PBA champion’s contract expired on December 31, 2021 and is now free to sign with any team in the league.

Aside from Rosser, two other members of the 2014 rookie batch have moved on to new teams after declining extensions. Alaska’s Rodney Brondial signed with the Beermen while Meralco’s John Pinto hooked up with Brgy. Ginebra.

In five games for the Dyip during the 2021 Governors’ Cup, Rosser submitted averages of 5.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists.
