Kelly Williams set for PBA comeback after signing fresh 2-year deal with TNT
Kelly Williams is coming out of retirement and is set to make a PBA comeback in PBA Season 46.
The 39-year old Williams, who announced his decision to hang up his jersey last September after a colorful 14-year pro career, has just signed a fresh two-year deal with the TNT Tropang Giga according to team manager Gabby Cui.
“We would like to welcome Kelly back to TNT Tropang GIGA. His leadership and experience will help us achieve success in the upcoming conference,” said Cui.
“Welcome back Kelly, great to have you back,” said team governor Ricky Vargas in the club’s official statement.
Terms of the new contract were not disclosed.
The 2008 PBA Most Valuable Player is already practicing with the team as evidenced by a video posted by returning head coach Chot Reyes on his Instagram account.
