Alex Cabagnot signs with KBL team Goyang Sono Sky Gunners

Alex Cabagnot is moving over to Korea.

Goyang Sono made an announcement on Monday, stating that they have signed the 9-time PBA champion for the remainder of the 2023-24 Korean Basketball League season.

Cabagnot will be replacing Joshua Torralba, who unfortunately suffered a thigh injury and will be undergoing surgery soon.

At the age of 41, Cabagnot previously played for Terrafirma during the 2023 PBA Governors’ Cup. In his last conference in the PBA, he submitted averages of 8.8 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.7 rebounds in nine games played.

However, the Dyip decided not to renew his contract.

On the other hand, Torralba played in 11 games for the Sky Gunners before his injury.

Currently, Goyang Sono is ranked eighth in the 10-team league with a record of 8-13.

Cabagnot has already begun training with the Goyang team and is ready to contribute to their success.

Filipinos currently plying their trade in the KBL include SJ Belangel from Daegu KOGAS, Rhenz Abando from Anyang JungKwangJang, Dave Ildefonso from Suwon KT, Juan Gomez de Liano from Seoul SK, Justin Gutang from Changwon LG, Ethan Alvano from Wonju DB, Avan Nava from Seoul Samsung, and Miguel Oczon from Ulsan Hyundai Mobis.
