Gilas draftee Allyn Bulanadi signs with Alaska

Allyn Bulanadi is officially a member of Alaska.

The 24-year old Bulandi, who was taken by the Aces with the 4th pick in the Gilas special draft back in 2019, signed the contract on Monday in the presence of his manager Danny Espiritu, Alaska governor Dickie Bachman and Aces Sports Development and Public Relations Manager CK Canapi-Daniolco.

“Done deal,” said Espiritu during a telephone interview with PBA Rush.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed but Espiritu claimed it was a win-win situation for both sides.

Despite already having a crowded backcourt, head coach Jeff Cariaso is nonetheless excited on the arrival of the former San Sebastian College standout.

“Allyn is very versatile on offense, and he has always been a good defensive player. That’s why we’re excited about him,” said Cariaso.

Aside from Bulanadi, the Wilfredo Uytengsu-owned franchise also enlisted veteran big man Bryan Faundo. The 37-year old journeyman is set to take over the spot vacated by Rodney Brondial who moved over to the San Miguel Beermen during the extended break.

The Aces, currently with a 3-2 record, resume their quest for the 2021 Governors’ Cup crown on Thursday, February 17 then they take on the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
