Kai Sotto set to face NBA’s top prospects, rising stars

As he suits up for the Orlando Magic in the NBA Summer League from July 7 to 17 in Las Vegas, Kai Sotto will go up against some of the NBA’s rising stars and top prospects.

The 21-year-old 7-foot-3 center finally got his big break, and now he has to make the most of his opportunity by competing in an offseason tournament against some of the best prospects, NBA reserves, and free agents in the league.

As of right now, Sotto, rookie guards Anthony Black (No. 6) and Jett Howard (No. 11) and returning backup guard Kevon Harris are all expected to share time on the floor for the Magic.

Even though the Magic haven’t announced their full roster or head coach, they’ve already scheduled five preseason games.

On July 8 (July 9, Manila time), the Magic will face the Pistons, on July 10 the Pacers, and on July 12, they’ll take on the Knicks.

After taking on the Trail Blazers on July 13, the Magic’s schedule concludes with a matchup against an as-yet-unnamed opponent.

Scoot Henderson of the Trail Blazers and Ausar Thompson of the Pacers, this year’s No. 3 and No. 5 picks, respectively, will provide Sotto with a formidable test of his mettle.

James Nnaji of the Pistons and Oscar Tchiebwe of the Pacers are two international prospects he could face.
