Team Japeth takes on Team Mark in Bacolod

The PBA’s brightest stars are set to grace the charming City of Smiles as Team Japeth gears up for a back-to-back victory, this time facing off against Team Barroca in the 2024 PBA All-Star Game on Sunday, March 24.

The much-anticipated clash will take place at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum, with team captain Japeth Aguilar and head coach Tim Cone leading the charge for Team Japeth in their quest to replicate their previous All-Star success in Passi City, Iloilo.

Standing in their way are Mark Barroca and head coach Jorge Gallent of Team Barroca, determined to thwart Team Japeth’s ambitions and put on a show for the passionate fans of Negros.

The competition extends beyond the basketball court, with both teams vying for the coveted dance-off crown. Team Japeth has even gone the extra mile by enlisting a professional choreographer to ensure they dazzle the crowd with their moves.

On the other hand, Team Barroca boasts the likes of Jio Jalalon and Calvin Abueva, who have already showcased their dance skills during meet-and-greet activities.

While the dance-off adds a fun element to the event, both teams are deadly serious when it comes to delivering an intense and thrilling game for the spectators.

Despite facing some setbacks with key players sidelined, Team Japeth can rely on the talents of last year’s All-Star game MVP Paul Lee, as well as a lineup featuring stars such as Calvin Oftana, Jamie Malonzo, Don Trollano, Marcio Lassiter, Arvin Tolentino, Maverick Ahanmisi, Stanley Pringle,Terrence Romeo and replacements Aris Dionisio and RR Pogoy.

The Magnolia core of Abueva, Jalalon, Barroca, and Sangalang will join forces with other standout players including Fajardo, Perkins, CJ Perez, Robert Bolick, James Yap, Jayson Castro, Gabe Norwood, Ricci Rivero, Cliff Hodge, Juami Tiongson, and Nards Pinto.
