Top overall pick Joshua Munzon signs three-year max rookie deal with Terrafirma

Terrafirma welcomed the latest top overall pick into its fold by signing Joshua Munzon to a three-year maximum rookie deal.
The 26-year old Fil-Am signed the contract on Friday in the presence of Dyip governor Bobby Rosales and his agent JSam ‘Jouie’ Ramos at the team headquarters in Makati City.
“I’m excited to be part of the team and get ready to get up there for all our Terrafirma fans,” said Munzon shortly after signing his first-ever PBA contract.
The former ABL player became the second Terrafirma draftee to sign a deal after 8th overall selection James Pado-Laput inked a similar three-year contract the day before.
The team’s four other draftees – Dhon Reverente, Michael Javelosa, Immanuel Custodio, and Terrence Tumalip, however, remain unsigned.
Munzon has started attending the team’s group workouts.
“As the no. 1 pick in the PBA Draft, there are high expectations, but Joshua is excited and ready to continue building his career in the league,” said Ramos.
“It has always been our plan for Joshua to end up in the PBA, and now is the perfect time. I look forward to seeing Joshua continue to grow as a player and be able to provide for his family,” he added.
