Gilipinas Pilipinas 3×3 rode on Almond Vosotros’ long-range bombing run to beat Indonesia, 21-15, and clinch a spot in the main draw of the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup Thursday night in Singapore.

TnT gunner Vosotros, the PBA 3×3’s scoring champion, rattled five two-pointers and added a free throw in a fiery 11-5 windup to help the Philippines finish off Southeast Asian Games rival Indonesia in the battle for a seat to the tournament proper.

Vosotros dropped 11 markers as Joseph Eriobu netted eight and Samboy de Leon and Lervin Flores chipped in one point a piece as Gilas 3×3 topped Qualifying Draw Group C via a two-game sweep to advance.

The clincher came 10 hours after the Nationals started the tourney with a 21-19 verdict over Jordan.

“We’re playing for the country so we really tried to do our best,” said Vosotros to the cheers of Pinoy crowd in the venue.
